I wrote this for an assignment in my creative writing class...it's really awful..I'm deeply sorry. It is quite cheesy...If someone actually finds this good, I might actually turn it into a story.
"I don't understand why you don't let any of us see you dance." Jay said to me while we walked. I shrugged. "It's a confidence thing...y'know self esteem." "Oh come on," he began. "We all love you." 'We all' referring to his mates. "They're coming over to watch the game today, by the way." he added. I really didn't like his mates, they were all much older than me and they tease me all the time. I guess when your brother is Jay McGuiness, you get four more brothers by default.
The lads arrived about an hour after we got home. The five of them take up most of the couch, which only leaves the love-seat…which was occupied by Nathan. I let out an exasperated sigh before walking over. Nathan looked up at me and moved his legs so I could sit. I sat next to him, pulling my knees to my chest. “You alright?” he asked quietly. I nodded, not looking at him. Did I forget to mention that I kind of had a thing for him? But I act like I hate him, childish right? I stood up from where I was sitting and walked into the kitchen. “Can you grab me a beer?” Nathan asked from across the room. I looked at him and shook my head before walking out back, slamming the door behind me.
I sat outside for a while before the back door opened. I looked over to see Nathan. I put my head back in my arms and closed my eyes. “What do you want?” “Is everything all right?” I felt him sit next to me on the ground. “Did I do something to make you angry?” I nodded. “What did I do?” his voice was so calming right now. “You refused to notice me.” I mumbled. “Pardon?” “You notice the girls that lie you for your good looks…not the ones who like you for you.” I bit my tongue and mentally kicked myself for saying that. “Oh.” I felt Nathan put his arm around me and pull me close. “Well, how about I treat you like I treat all my fans? A hug,” he gave me one of those rubbish one armed hugs. I lifted my head and looked at him. “And a kiss.” Nathan took his index finger and gently lifted my head and pressed his lips to mine. Nathan’s kissed fans before, but this was different. He seemed to enjoy it. And I couldn’t lie, I did too. I slowly pulled away from him, but he pouted. I laughed a little and set my head on his shoulder. “What’re we gonna tell them? Especially Jay?” Nathan shrugged. “I guess we don’t. You’re not in the public eye now…I wanna keep it that way.” I nodded before closing my eyes. “I hear your heart cry for love, but you won’t let me make it right. You were hurt but I decided that you were worth the fight…” he softly sang while he intertwined his fingers with mine. “You don’t have any solos in Heart Vacancy though?” “Shh…you’re killing the moment.” I laughed as Nathan put his head against mine and kissed me on the cheek. “So we can’t tell anyone?” I asked. Nathan shook his head.
“Nathan? Teeghan?” I froze, Nathan did too. Who knows how long my brother had been standing there…I could feel my heart start to race a lump form in my throat. I definitely had some explaining to do.
Wow...this is really awful...my goodness...and it was a lot longer on paper...lol...DEAL WITH IT.
